Japanese Grilled Eggplant (Yaki Nasu)

  • Japanese Eggplant
  • Green onion – chopped
  • Soy saouce
  • Water with ice


  1. Wash eggplant well
  2. Stick chopstick (or woodstick) from buttom of eggplant to close to top of eggplant *please be make sure to not stick to your hand
  3. Grill both side of eggplant until eggplant are soft
  4. right after grill the eggplant, rx place eggplant to ice water and peel the skin
  5. Cut into bite size
  6. Add green onion on the top
  7. Serve with soy sauce
